Students on CEFR levels A2. Students of all programmes and faculties, students in the flexible study rights scheme (JOO), international students; non-university learners.
After completing KK-KII202 Intermediate Chinese 2(HSK4) or KK-KII205 Intermediate Spoken Chinese 1 course.
After completing the course, students are expected to be able to:
1. Get familiar with the topics in daily conversations.
2. Command 200-400 frequently used words.
3. Learn basic sentence patterns in daily conversations.
4. Be able to talk with clarity in daily conversations.
This is a teacher-instructed course with 28 hours of contact teaching and 26 hours of independent work. To complete the course at least 75% active participation in the course and completion of the agreed tasks by the deadline is required.
Starting level approximately CEFR A2. Have completed HSK3 level learning, or have studied Chinese for at least 1,5 years. If you are unsure about your CEFR level before registering, contact the course teacher.
Completed KK-KII201-202 Intermediate Chinese 1-2(HSK4), KK-KII205 Intermediate Spoken Chinese 1 or Students have a command of 800 Chinese words and a certain amount of grammar.
The course focuses on improving students' listening and speaking skills through doing varieties of activities about daily life topics, such as family, hobbies, travel, school life, health, living habits, work, plan and future, etc. Topics partly selected in negotiation with the students, tailored to their needs.
Learners will be more familiar with common language structures, expand their vocabulary, as well as improve their listening comprehension, intonation and speech production.
Language use situations: conversation according to real situation, presentation, etc.

|Assessment practices and criteria
Based on the aspects mentioned under the course objectives. Continuous evaluation: small review tests, regular and active participation in classroom work, mid-term oral exam, final exam, completion of the home assignments.
The course is graded as pass/fail.
